The LESO-PB is actively involved in the following Masters of Advanced Studies (MAS):

Architecture and Sustainable Development
(initiated in 1996 by LESO-PB)

These postgraduate studies are organised bi-annually by the UCL and the EPFL in collaboration with several other renowned universities. Lecturer on Energy in Buildings: Prof. Claude-Alain Roulet , LESO-PB

The Energy in Buildings course provides the knowledge required for predicting thermal comfort and indoor air quality, energy use for heating, ventilating and cooling of buildings. Content:

• Occupant's needs, thermal comfort, indoor air quality
• Heat balance of the building, losses, gains, heating requirements
• Heating, cooling, ventilation and air-conditioning systems, efficiency, and sizing principles
• Diagnosis methods
• Integral design, interactions between issues.
